Rovereto is a lively city of 33,000 inhabitants located in Vallagarina, on the left bank of the river Adige.
The historic center of Rovereto was founded by the Venetians in the 15th century and is still very well preserved and its narrow streets reminiscent of the streets of Venice are ideal for a romantic walk.
While in Rovereto you could visit:
- Maria Dolens, the Peace Bell, dominates the city of Rovereto and commemorates those who fell in war
- Italian War History Museum. The memory of the Great War and modern conflicts. Founded in 1921, the museum is one of the main Italian institutions dedicated to contemporary history
- Mart Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto. The Mart is the centre of modern and contemporary art in Italy, it puts on large thematic exhibitions, the results of years of research, national and international temporary exhibitions and artistic programmes on twentieth century art periodically reconceived and renewed making use of its collections.
